I found this little guy on my doorstep last week - moved him over after I took the photo...think our Aryan friend would have as much problem with "Preying Mantis?"

Wiki - They are not considered spiders.

Quote
Opiliones (formerly Phalangida) are an order of arachnids commonly known as harvestmen. As of 2006, over 6,400 species of harvestmen have been discovered worldwide, although the real number of extant species may exceed 10,000.[1] The order Opiliones can be divided into four suborders: Cyphophthalmi, Eupnoi, Dyspnoi and Laniatores. Well-preserved fossils have been found in the 400-million-year-old Rhynie cherts of Scotland, which look surprisingly modern, indicating that the basic structure of the harvestmen has not changed much since then. Phylogenetic position is disputed: their closest relatives may be the mites (Acari) or the Novogenuata (the Scorpiones, Pseudoscorpiones and Solifugae).[2]

Although they belong to the class of arachnids, harvestmen are not spiders, which are of the order Araneae rather than the order Opiliones.

In some places, harvestmen are known by the name "daddy longlegs" or "granddaddy longlegs", but this name is also used for two other unrelated arthropods: the crane fly (Tipulidae) and the cellar spider (Pholcidae).

"Gottesanbeterin" is our word fpr Praying Mantis which often ceases religious activity to just prey rather than pray. They were all over in Zaire, quite nasty how they cut other locusts to pieces one by one devouring them piecemeal.

And Daddy Longlegs are "Weberknechte" with us. Literally "weaver hands" though they don't weave webs.

My countryman is a bit dense in that vid I fear.   :-X

Praying Mantises and large Katydids can give you a pretty nasty bite. A couple weeks ago, there was a small gray one about 4 inches long on our back porch who REALLY hated my wife. He didn't bite her, but not for lack of trying.

I'd hate to think that he's considered a bright bulb in your country.
My German is rusty, but the word "dummkopf" comes to mind

I think that much is obvious.
Here's the thing - If you're a "funny guy" and folks have to explain the intent of your videos to other folks, well, then you just ain't gettin' it done.
It's sort of akin to a Michael Anthony bass solo - it's neither funny, nor a bass solo - it's justifiable to do something else with that time space...please.
