Heard about this? He put the video up 2 days ago and he already has 148,000 views.

The background: http://www.davecarrollmusic.com/story/united-breaks-guitars
I saw another story today that says United is now listening. Nothing like bad publicity to get them moving.
-
They showed it on CNN about 5:00 here. By then, they were reporting 175,000 hits, with more expected. They also said that United had called the guy, and agreed to make good on the damage. Furthermore, they said they were going to use his video as an internal training video.
-
Absolute gold. Good on him, and good luck to him with regards to the amount of free (kinda) publicity he's getting.
-
Brilliant!

Good things can come from tragedy.
-
Over 500,000 views now. I wonder if United's baggage goons are proud of themselves now.
-
That is perfect. ;D
-
That's f*ckin awesome! Good for him.
-
Having worked "airside" way back when, this is nothing new...
brilliant video...
-
Over 3 million now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! local radio is even pushing it ! Having United break his Taylor is the best thing thats ever happened to him !

I traveled a lot in the late 70's and early 80's with my trusty Fender Precision and never had a problem with anything. The bass always traveled in it's tolex case. Maybe I was lucky, or the Fender was just sturdy.
-
you could throw a P bass down the stairs, and it would still be in tune. ;D
-
It's a great catchy song, something Messrs Frey and Henley would have immediately turned into a hit had they gotten their hands (or larynxes) around it. I love the "Gone-by-car" part, that is musically brilliant the way it stands out and gels with the rest of the music at the same time.
If this guy brings out an album, I'll buy it. Ever since I bought and liked a Garth Brooks CD way back, I'm shameless about AOR-C&W.
And I always liked The Bellamy Brothers too, so there!
-
Is there something wrong with liking the Bellamy Brothers?
-
No, Dave. You said that beautifully. No one will hold it against you.

And even these days the brothers are still quite footloose:
