Wow! Wonder what brand it is. Doesn't look (nor sound) like a Gibson to me.
It doesn't have the Gibson logo. And the tuners like Japanese seventies type closed gear to me, but I'm not sure.
The neck has bindings which this model of the Gibson Les Paul Bass never had.
Can't really tell if the pickups are bass size or guitar size. They look like they might be the smaller guitar size which were often featured on the Japanese Hoshino copies.

Here's another clip with him playing this bass. Around 2:40 we get a close look at the headstock.

Aw sheeeet; I was fooled!

I thought it was legit - was so excited I didn't pause the vid to get a better look.  Saw the crown inlay in the headstock and didn't pay any closer attention.  Good eye buddy!

Pretty convincing copy though, in terms of the look of the thing and control layout, right down to the pup rings (pups look close to bass-sized to me which was another reason 'ho' didn't spring to mind).  Bridge is a giveaway though as it's the worst of both worlds; old school fender 2 strings per saddle with 2 point mounting.

Don't recognize the logo and it's not very clear what it says:



Looks like a C and maybe an S next with an L on the end.  At first glance I thought Cort but that's not it.

Today someone sent me a pic of a Japanese copy of a Les Paul Bass.
The bridge looks like the one on the bass in the video!

Ibanez used those bridges on thei seventies Gibson copies, I have one on my Ibanez Flying V.  A wild mix of Gibson and Fender ingredients, but a massive and stable bridge, though hardly purdy.

And my Ibanez Thunderbird has a two point bridge with nylon saddles. You never know what you'll find on 70's Japanese copies!

Earlyish Blondie starts around 7:30.  Not sure who is playing bass, but that looks like a Triumph to the right of Debbie. He plays with his hand over the bridge but there's a headstock shot starting around 22:30.

better quality (not as blurry) except when things move too fast and it squares off a bit.  Definately not Nigel Harrison (he was always such a P guy anyway... and you could spot his hair from the back of the room); I'm gonna wager Gary Valentine but it could be Chris Stein.
