Mark, you're just carrying on a longstanding tradition. In the late 70's early 80's, Peavey VERY publicly sponsored the Grand Ol' Opry and insisted that every piece of equipment used there be Peavey, so the house band took the Peavey chassis of all their new instrument amps and installed the "guts" of the same old Fenders (mostly) that they had been using for decades. Everybody got what they wanted out of the arrangement: the musicians kept the same stellar tones they were used to and Peavey became the go-to brand for literally millions of people who were convinced that they were buying the same equipment used by their idols. It also showed that the emperor, more often than not, is not wearing any clothes.
