Title: A fun Rotosound Relique
Post by: eb2 on January 24, 2011, 03:19:22 PM
I was going through my basses and found this in a case. It is an insert for French-speaking Canada that came with packs of Swing Bass strings.  I am guessing early 70's.  I got these in my gigging days while in Montreal.  Kind of fun, and not something you see everyday.

Not big enough for me to read.

Goofy.  Upload limit is 192kb, and I saved it at 191, but now it is smaller.  So here is a photobucket of it.

Also, the insert is florescent orange, which does not translate through the scanner.  The washed out orange is really much more intense than the string washer insert.

Interesting that they included a washer.

French translations always seem to have more words than the English equivalent.

I only know them with washers, must have been a European thing.

French translations of any other language are invariably at leat one and a half times as long.

I remember when they came with washers.
