Slowly working on tracks for a second album with my old (late 80s) bandmates. Doing it with all three guys living in different parts of the country (each having family and work commitments) makes it a little time consuming. This is the only one we've had mixed so far. I used a Fender P with D'Addario Chromes>Sansamp BDDI>Focusrite Saffire Pros>GarageBand (I recorded the part with three different basses and let the singer/writer choose which one he preferred).

Whole thing sounds great, but that bass is perfection! Did you use a pick?

Thanks, guys! I appreciate your input. It's encouraging.

Wow, thank you! To me, the song just called out for that precise click you get with flats and a pick. My first couple of passes (on my SB350) were busier, but each time I came back to it I felt I needed to back off and keep it simple. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

That is to me a perfect flatwound sound George.

I don't think I've ever posted anything in this thread so here's a little something:

The bass is my white Gibson Bicentennial Thunderbird into a Mesa Boogie Buster amp through an old Fender Bassman 4x12" cab.

I'll post again when the whole thing is released in 2 weeks, but here's the lead-off track to my band's new album "Crushing Time". Pre-sale started last night.

It looks that we end our long quest for a drummer for Snakebite. We had two concerts in June and two more planned in July, this is from our second in June
