Title: Another 70s Tele Bass
Post by: Dave W on July 12, 2011, 07:48:23 AM
Been following this since it was posted elsewhere: Tele Bass at Goodwill (http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/1970s-Fender-Telecaster-Bass-Guitar-w-Hard-Case-8196486.html)

The headstock has been shortened, the tuners are touching each other with the G tuner running over the edge, and the lighter wood on the back of the headstock probably means it's been thinned. And it "may need some additional repairs/tune ups." It's not a fake, but if it didn't have some kind of major problem, how did it wind up at Goodwill?

And yet it's $1200 with 2 days left.  ???

No kidding. And I forgot to mention the DiMarzio Model One, which isn't bad but isn't original either.
