Wow that's even more moserite-y now!  Super retro. I kinda like it.
Basses: Gibson lpb-1, Gibson dc jr tribute, Greco thunderbird, Danelectro dc, Ibanez blazer.  Amps: genz benz shuttle 6.0, EA CXL110, EA CXL112, Spark 40.  Guitars: Danelectro 59XT, rebuilt cheap LP copy

Normally I like sunburst and tort but the tort looked bad, looked like a blurry photo of tort. And the guard was thin, and flimsy near the output jack.
The new guard is parchment/black/parchment.

When something is fendermolested, it's no cause for celebration.  8)

Looks like a Fender now that somehow got in the hands of Salvador Dali.

Those ARE the old knobs.
I always just leave the bass at the guy's house and pick it up the next day. And I never ask any questions.   ;)

Obviously they were removable one way or another. I'd guess he has a specialized tool to remove them. If they were glued, a solvent probably would have melted the knobs.

I never leave home with out it. Tighten pots without removing knobs, or pry up knobs with a matchbook against the guitar's finish. They make fancier screw extractor tools, but this guy works well.

I wanted to order this but it was a no-go from Stew-Mac with their minimum order policy and shipping costs.

Found it for $12.30 with free shipping on Reverb

I managed to snap the shaft out of one of the pots on my SG whilst trying to remove one of the knobs...
