Eat your heart out, Mark
« on: December 01, 2009, 09:59:46 PM »
The wonders of Facebook have put me in contact with a few old friends, including an old keyboard player who had these shots of us when we first started playing the circuit.  I didn't remember me being THAT glam.  And there's no mistaking where I copied the look from, either.

For some reason, that reminds me of a Lime Green satin Nehru jacket I once had.  But that was in the 60's - MUCH different, right?

" I didn't remember me being THAT glam."

Famous words there Gary!

Really it's pretty cool, I was just a little too young and had only just started playing the bass ('74 IIRC) so I lovingly watched "glam" from the sidelines. Dressing up for shows IS fun, I absolutely love it!
I'm in LOVE with that Acoustic rig you're playing thru there, I had the opportunity to use a 360 with a cab like that for about 3 months - best rig ever!
Thanks for sharing the pics

I tried to get my band to do "Vambo", but no luck.

The rig is actually a POS Carvin head (back in the early mail-order days).  It was replaced shortly after these pics by a real Acoustic 360.

I think I can do you one better.  I saw the SAHB open up for The Tubes on their first tour.  It was also Halloween night.  It was a surreal night to remember.
