The Marshalls Hiwatt and SC are all mine, I can't tell you how many sound guys ask "so when is the other guitar player showing up" LMAO It is a 80's Hiwatt built by Fane. I love it it does kick ass. They are kind of looked down upon by Hiwatt collectors but I like it. I have a 1975 Hiwatt DR201 coming over from the UK should be here next week ! My rig as it stands now the DR201 will replace the Sound City.   I need some Hiwatt cabs !

Noodling around on the '63 P in my (then) extremely messy practice room.

(I presume that non-Gibby pix are allowed....) Uwe: With P Basses as gorgeous as this one we make exceptions!

Here ya go!  The Bass setup is a Carvin 8x10 SVT style cabinet powered by a Hartke 5000 run in mono. The six stringer gear is a '68 Marshall straight front in purple/cane restored by yours truly. The heads are '72 Marshall 50 watters (screamers) in purple.  The 'Bird is the '67 clone I built using my own bridge and pickups in Frost Blue, and the LP Jr. is a '56 I restored in all gold. The NR Firebird is a one off creation I put together with a set neck and LP style headstock just to be different. Inverness Green. Beard is gray, circa 1953. LOL

Scott, that DR201 is absolutely going to blow you away. Those things are tube powerhouses!  That's what JE used in Live at Leeds.  BIG tone, BIG power! Your basses will just HONK through that amp. Congrats on finding a 70's 201.  My DR103 was a crusher. Your DR201 will topple buildings I assure you!

There are two reasons I love Hiwatt, The Who and Slade ! The Hiwatt I have coming is out of Slade's backline, comes with a letter from Dave Hill (Jimmy Lea would be better) and letters from the road crew. I am super excited. Mine is the one on top

Looking at the many pics of mild-mannered middle-aged men, I begin to wonder whether we don't need some new blood?  Perhaps start a Bass Outpost Boy Scouts group? Mark would look splendid with his pig-tails in a boy scout uniform and engender parental trust.

George is working on that.

My son went to Rics.

Haven't you told him that that is a sort of very rigid/ricid career devoted to just one bass model they renamed over the decades by changing a "1" to a "3"? And you'll have to break it to him softly: The horseshoe will never ever come back!

I have to tell you he is happy with his mint 4003 Ric which he bought used for $850 about 6 years ago, now worth about $1200- $1600 .

He still loves his bass as well
