Awesome picture! I have an 18 year-old cat, too (two-year cancer survivor) along with a 12, an 11, a 10, and three 9 year-olds. Tell Nick happy birthday,and if you ever want some righteous catnip, I'll be happy to send you some of my homegrown. Before the pot jokes start, it really IS just catnip... but along that route... a friend of ours mixed up her baggies and gave us some "wacky catnip" by accident a few years ago. The cats just ignored it but I'll bet she got an odd buzz the next time she smoked up. ;D :mrgreen:

I'm a dog person not a cat person but 18 and looking that cool deserves a pat.

my dad had a cat that lived to 21. an un- neutered male back in the days when no one took pets to a vet. he had the cat as a boy in school, went off to ww2, came home got married had me and the cat was still around. went under the house one day and went to the great litter box in the sky. i love this story.

Thanks, everyone! Nick is one of the four cats I've had since the past 18 years. His brother Finway died at 12, Gideon died at 13 and besides Nick I still have Magnolia, the calico. She's a youngster at around 8. I used to think 4 cats was too many then when Finway died, three suddenly wasn't enough!
Nick's been great, through lots of bad times and lots of good. I'm grateful to him for sticking around so long!

I just did a quick calculation on my 12 (?) year old dog Max and found that he's about the same "age" I am.
No wonder he's such a fine 22-pound specimen of canine studliness!

Cool cat Denis! We have 4 of them. 3 indoor females and one outdoor male, all fixed! The outdoor male just showed up one day about 1 1/2 years ago and we still call him Gray Stray. (even though he is ours) The others are Angel Cake, Yoshi and Banshee. They range from 3 to 6 years old.
