As far as I know he played a brand new one, so it could have been a Bicen-bird.

On a side note, I'm a die-hard Kiss fan but I made myself the promise to NEVER watch that piece of shit movie, so far I've only seen a few clips of it on Kiss documentaries and even the members themselves agree that that was low point of their career. Peter Criss for example refused do voice overs, so the movie company brought a guy in with a matching voice to do them.

I will NEVER watch "Kiss meets the phantom" even if they offer me a large sum of money.

I'm sure that is a '76 Tbird. when I saw Kiss in '77 it was on stage. it had a Dimarzio model one in the bridge position and a mirrored pick guard. Didn't get used the whole night. sure looked cool !

I am a comic book nut. And I always thought that the Kiss comic book had a terrible plot and from what I saw, the movie was worse.

At least in the late nineties Kiss got themselves a PROPER comic series when teaming up with Todd McFarlane.

This series had an excellent story line and artworks to die for.

Both gene Simmons and Ace Frehley are comic book lovers, so I guess that's where it came from.

A guy I know allegedly has that 'bird - I don't know if that's on the level or not. I did play it and while it is cosmetically a MESS, it plays pretty nice. The "neck" pickup area has been hogged out so much that it looks like a swimming pool. The Model One is gone - there is now a P-Bass pickup in its place. The bridge pickup is a two-screw chromie, so it's not the original one either. The whole thing is flat black and has stickers all over it. Sad...

That's a shot from the movie - believe me, this thing would make you want to cry - and the mirrored pg is long gone. If it truly IS Gene's bass...

I know that is a pic from the movie. With or without documentation I'd be interested. First thing I'd do is install the Model One !

Oh dear, here we go again ...  Uwe
