from a realistic non fanboy point of few, bcc is just warmed over 70's hard rock filler material and cliche' ridden bad tunes. it's a bad record in the traditional sense. album of the year my aunt fanny! :bored:

I feel sorry for people like Uwe who don't appreciate Zep & nofi for....many, many reasons.
So what's your Album of the Year, nofi? This Plant snoozer?
Your "realistic non-fanboy point of view" is what I consider just yet another "dog pissin' in my Cheerios" insult.
Does it make you feel good? MMMMmmmmm Blood an' crackers, your favorite meal.

i don't subscribe to those best of year lists. i don't  know who did what this year, or any other year for that matter.

Black Country Communion's debut was a hopeful start, nothing more, nothing less. Judging from the quality and experience of the people involved, the songwriting could have been more inspired. And I really didn't need a new version of Medusa, a track that already sounded dated and schoolband'ish 40 years ago when it first came out on Trapeze's second album (and their first as the classic power trio). What a waste when they could have resurrected something like this instead:

Ter, I changed my avatar personal text for you!  :-* And I'll never deny that Messrs Page, Plant, Jones and Bonham forged a style, were hugely influential and also wrote more than a handful of excellent songs. They just don't make me cream in my pants, that's all.

We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...
