Which explains why it was unavailable when I went looking for it the other day.

I've bought it, haven't listened to it yet.

Have been listening to Vampire Weekend, the new Johnny Cash, Gentle Giant Live reissue, the new Bonamassa and the new Peter Gabriel in the car recently. Yeah, eclectic, that's me!

And I forgot the new Transatlantic CD which stands as one of the best comtemporary prog (yes, Dave, they do call it that ...) albums in the last decade.

It's solemn and melancholic, all ballads, just piano, an orchestra (mostly strings, but some horns too) and his - rather naked and undoctored - voice. A CD for a New Age burial of sorts, but the music is beautiful and emotive. His version of Bowie's Heroes is as radical as it is breathtaking. Production - courtesy of the one and only Bob Ezrin - is magnificent. And the orchestral arrangements defy any "rock & strings" clichées.

Frontiers is Y&T's new label & they've given radio stations the new cd now!
One or two songs were played yesterday by Mad Dan at:

http://www.eastcoastfm.co.uk/

From the east coast of SCOTLAND!

I'll be gettin' this cd on May 22nd in SF when it's being sold at the Release Party at the Fillmore!
Y&T will play at least some of it that night, & maybe all of it, hopefully!!!

WoooHooooooooooo!

The West coast is a much nicer place to be, imo  ;)

Just realised, I haven't bought a new CD since the turn of the year...  :o

People still buy albums?  I don't think I've bought music in over 10 years.  (And for the record, I don't download it either...)

I've bought quite a few from our one and only remaining privately owned music store. They've been around for years and I like to support them.

Jeez, Badger, get with the program!

I always buy plenty of vinyl.  Mostly treasures found at Goodwill stores.  The last few CD's I've bought have been from Half.com.  Nothing new though.  I think Billion Dollar Babies and Them Crooked Vultures come to mind.

I have the CD and listened to the first five tracks. It's pleasantly melodic and not a shredder nightmare at all, but having a different singer for every track doesn't really make for coherence. All people who despised Scott Weiland's off the wall vocal melodies with Velvet Revolver will however be pleased with what they hear here: The vocal melodies are much more conventional (the art of Axl Rose) and safe.
