Here's a clip of Nick's first time on stage this past weekend.
As you can see, Nick didn't have any nerves behind the drum kit and my other son (vocals, guitar) really enjoyed having him up there for a few easy songs.
He actually got to play one of the band's originals, which was pretty cool.  Opening with a Ramones tune probably helped.

@uwe - yeah, he was just doing whatever he felt like doing...the Ramones way - no rules.

They did a great job!
Tell the kid with the strat that when playing The Ramones he needs to replace his smile with a diseffected sneer. :D :D
Congrats to you all.

Congrats to you all.

Thanks. The kid with the strat is their regular bassist and their drummer switched over to bass for the first few songs.
They played pretty well for not really being comfortable with the instruments they were playing.
The fact that the kids were willing to do the 'ol switcheroo to get Nick on stage was pretty cool of them.
...and I totally agree - if you're given the chance to look like a Ramone for a song - take it!
Very few bassists ever looked as cool as Dee Dee Ramone.

I think they did a nice power metal version of it. The Ramones sound is not so easily replicated at all.
