Came across footage from the Lotus tour of Japan 1973 - it's pro-shot from Japan, with subtitles in English & Japanese - Doug Rauch is playing his Jazz Bass - I'm blown away, Lotus is one of my favorite albums - didn't know there was video!!!

Indeed. Here's Doug playing with another great, Lenny White. He had his double thumb technique down pretty good at this point. I'd have hard time playing that line even if I used a pick.
