THR10? It must work okay for bass if you're using it.

This is the THR5.  I got it for guitar, and just wanted something small and easy to schlep around the house for practice.  It sounds decent for what it is, and I like the 'Brit Hi' amp model best... responds nicely to volume knob changes - from a warm clean, to dirty overdrive.

For bass practice, I just picked this little rig up off Craigslist 




I had bought the Genz head from Andy ~6 months ago, and was prowling around for a set of DB-112s to run with it.  This complete Aguilar rig just showed up locally with the TH500 head, and at a really fair price - so I grabbed the whole setup to try out.

Still wanting to unload my GK MB-212 and pick up a road case for the Genz.  This will be the new gig-rig for a while...

I'm kinda going back to the heavyweights here, but in smaller, more manageable chunks 

I'm gonna hook the Genz up later and try that out with these cabs... but I've been putzing around with that little Aggie head this evening, and I'm impressed.  Man this thing packs a serious wallop!  Tight punchy low end that kicks you in the gut, great warmth, and it dirties up nicely.

First impressions are good.  Look forward to getting it into rehearsal and live settings to see how it does there.

Maiden voyage of the little Aggie rig last night.  That thing sounds INCREDIBLE!!!  So much headroom, and I was so happy with the tone I was able to get from it.

I had intentions to A/B the TH500 and Genz, but I ended up just running the TH the entire night.  Left the pedalboard home too - ended up finding a 3U rack so I can still run my old DBX166.  The only other efx I use is a hint of overdrive at times, but the drive control on the TH works so well I don't even need a pedal.

Lucked out on that setup too, thanks to Nokturnal tipping me off.  Got a deep discount via a local CL deal on it, and was able to flip my GK 212 to narrow that gap even further.  Happy happy happy.  Based on this experience, I don't think I'll ever drag the old Orange+SVT rig out of the house again either, and so I'll probably try to move that after the holidays.

Thanks! Sorry, I don't have more and the guy who's session it was hasn't decided yet what to do with the tapes. It was more of a rehearsal for further recordings of original material.
