Lightly used bass case (http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-CLASH-Paul-Simonons-FENDER-BASS-Road-Case-A-MUSEUM-QUALITY-PUNK-ARTIFACT-/221631541911?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item339a44f297)
First time I've ever seen "museum quality" and "punk artifact" used in the same phrase. ;D
I'd gladly snap it up in a minute but shipping is extra. :P

It must be a good case. The guy was well-known for the care he took of his basses.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but do you think he was using Martin or Gibson guitar polish ???.

That picture was taken by Pennie Smith; that's the lady who's pics I'm selling off and have sold previously...
Still runs a second-hand book shop in the outskirts of London... she toured with them and that's when she got that pic... a truly nice person...

Great pic that could have been greater had she had another second to focus the camera.

Like most pictures... right place, right time, so just to catch it was enough... perfection would have been too set-piece...
A bit like RB wrecking "Fenders" designed to fall apart... I have some of those somewhere...
A piece of advice she (PS) offered me was take as many pictures as you can because you often only sell the one... This was used for one of their LP covers... I have one picture from the "set" this was from, but of a cartoonist I like called Ray Lowry... that's one I'll keep... Lowry toured with them too creating a bunch of odd-ball images for them... there was also a book, iirc...

Ebay lists the case as "SOLD". Which one of you guys snagged it?

I bought a case last week, but not this one...

He regretted breaking it later on. It was his favorite bass. He actually wanted to break another one.
