My rig hasn't changed ina decade, but I did just build a new pedalboard (anticipating an influx of new pedals; got a stack of projects sitting on my bench). The old one was getting crowded.
Looking at other DIY jobs around the net I saw a lot of cool stuff _ second half tiers and integrated patchbays.... the problem was it was all large, clunky and not very portable looking (I suppose if you're humping around a Marshall full stack, or 2 half stacks, what's the diff, right?). So I had to come up with my own thing. Also, just to make it harder, I wanted to not buy any new materials at all. So that's why the hardware doesn't all match (the break-away hinges are actually off my very first pedalboard). The wood is cedar that was reclaimed from the A/V loft at my old venue/studio (and in turn was left over from my Dad's deck rebuild project).
Anyway, those pedals are spread out to take up the space a but, but I can scrunch in almost twice as many (I build them with the I/O on the top side). Sorry about the mess in the studio.
