A Laurel and Hardy moment
« on: April 18, 2010, 11:30:22 AM »
Handyman props his ladder against a branch he's sawing off, falls and breaks his foot and then sues his employer, who is also fined £2,000. It's always Somebody Else's Fault.  :-\

Bungling handyman

Howard Johnson would extend him a laurel and a hardy handshake.  ;)

I think it was mainly the tree's fault.

And the ladder manufacturer's. I bet their ladder manual didn't have a crossed-out drawing of a man sawing off a branch of a tree with the ladder leaning against it. Or perhaps only a very small one.

Not mine. It does in fact credibly explain why the Brits had such a strikingly successful technology in the last decades and were so quick to plant the Union Jack on the moon. Or maybe they took the wrong p.o.ws, Herr Doktor Wernher von Braun would have most likely steadfastly refused to build anything involving Lucas Electronics ...
