I never realized how much Paula Prentiss looks like Gena Davis.

Connie Francis, what a talented actress!

That movie came at the end of the beatnik era. Makes me feel almost as old as I am.

I may even be able to beat that.  I've even heard of "Who's Sorry Now?"

That was her first really big hit. My sister played her 45 hundreds of times, including the flip side (You Were Only Fooling), they're permanently burned into my memory. This wasn't that long before the movie, maybe a couple of years. She was really popular for a few years there.

I found this.  I know my parents liked her, but I must have listened to her, too.  I know there was a big story where she got raped in a hotel one time.  She wouldn't perform anymore, but Dick Clark tried to help her out.  I don't know all the details.

I had no idea where it was, and don't know much about it at all.  I certainly didn't know it might a hoax.  Didn't she sue the hotel?

The rape was in a Howard Johnson's on Long Island. She sued them and settled out of court. AFAIK it was real. I never heard of an incident in Atlanta, hoax or not.

I'm always wowed by jazz artists.  I may not understand it, but it sure is impressive to hear talented artists.
