Gibson Basses / Re: How come this guy was so far under our radar?

Well I like a lot prog! By the way, discussing interesting bass sellers this guy is one of the best bass sellers I have ever meet. He is located in Italy and has an impressive private collection, and sells a lot on ebay. I have purchased from him my Fender Jazz and my Thunderbird.

Well my new Bachbird is at my doorstep. Just found the advice from post office that they attemtped to deliver when I was not at home but I had an unexpected trip past week. I was struck in Warsaw by the Iceland vulcano ash and was forced to take a train to Vienna and then to Milan and while travelling in Czech Republic I crossed the town of Hodonin where our beloved Bachbirds come from. I had never thought that one day I had crossed that station! I went there even before to get my bass at home

Am I the first of this forum been there?

And here the the new, beatiful baby from Czech. Many thanks to Bach for such a beauty:

and the updated Thunderbird family:

Today I finally managed to get the informations for payment form Bach and did the wire transfer. Hopefully I will get my TH2 cherry red in one or two weeks. Unfortunately I see that greatdealz has no longer chrome pick up covers...

The price is excessive for that bass, and luckily he excludes Italy from shipping ;D

I try to locate pickups on my basses as close as possible to strings without having buzzes.

Fender Basses / Re: The new basses
« on: March 27, 2010, 02:45:24 PM »
well, I like my Fender basses, easy to play, nice necks, but once you have a nice 62 re jazz bass, a Precision, a re 51 precision, a Jap Sonic blue Jazz, I am no longer  interested. I have tried a re 75, a Jaguar, a lot of jazz and precision, but never had a new inspiration. Maybe an old  Telecaster (but I think I will feel not heavy enough),  a vintage Mustang, or a Coronado would be more welcomed.

Wow! I am getting in love with these fat bottom gir.. basses! I have only a modest collection of Gibson basses (3 out of 19) plus one Bachbird, but I am trying to put together a Grabber. Up to now I have a neck, a sliding plate and a pickguard (travelling from US) and looking for other parts!
