Orange Crush Bass 50 Glenn Hughes Limited Edition

I can't remember, isn't there someone on this forum who likes Deep Purple?

It's just a wee little guy! Good for Glenn's dressing room I guess.

Orange bass amps are one trick ponies, at least they used to be, you get that one overdriven, raucous, "British" sound and nothing else. This one, apparently, attempts to be at least a two trick pony as it offers a decent clean sound too. Impossible to get that out of an Orange Terror amp.

Not that Glenn would need a clean sound these days.

He never sounded as abrasive with Deep Purple where he played Hiwatts with still plenty of overdrive.

(Listening to this again after a long while: What a great vocal duo Coverdale and Hughes were!)

These days, I wish his teeth were relic'ed a bit more and his bass a bit less. Would add to overall age credibility IMHO. But his bass playing has real attitude to this day.

Yes, I do like the amp's color  :gay: :gay: :gay: :gay: :gay: but I don't collect for fins!

Correct observation Herr Hornung. :toast:

I would agree, at least for the Terror. I tried one out for a couple of days, but missed the punch of my Ampegs.

Pretty modern sound. I would almost swear there's a battery in that P Bass.
