It will end up "living" in my studio and will get used for bass and guitar. One of my go-to studio amps for bass the last few years has been a slightly modified Marshall Bluesbreaker and I'm hoping that this little guy will get used as much.  The eminence speaker will get replaced with something a little bit better and I have a set of NOS Mullards that will replace the modern JJs it has now. Hopefully I'll get a little time to work on it this weekend.

The best thing that can be said about those robo-tuners is they're easy to remove.   At least the old ones were..hopefully that's not a feature they changed  ;D

Tubes?

Yes, it is essentially the same circuit as the Marshall 50W super bass head in a combo amp.  12AX7 pre, EL34 in the power amp.  Great sounding little amp and perfect for studio stuff.

Am I the only one who thinks a Les Paul or SG that can play itself is a good thing? Imagine how much less band drama there would be without the actual person playing the guitar...Gibson is on to something here  ;D

P.S. I'm 95% joking of course.

I'm a sucker for little combo amps, especially Marshalls so I could pass this one up.

Its a '76.  50W with a single 12.  I expected the speaker to be a Celestion but when I opened it up found an alnico eminence.  I assume it has been replaced, but found it surprising that the speaker was made in '76 as well.

Anybody here ever own one?

Normally I don't like sunburst finishes, especially tobacco sunburst finishes...but in this case I think the burst a lot better with the body style.

Its seems like a lot of money to spend for a structure that few people would ever see and serves no purpose.  I could see if it were part of an iconic downtown skyline or something but even then for a town the size of Kalamazoo it might be a hard sell.   The money might be better spent on re-purposing the brick into a park or some type of walkway in a central downtown location that more people could appreciate.

As an aside, I got to play around with a 335 style Heritage a decade or so ago, that was a pretty guitar.

Assuming it does end up getting knocked down I wonder how long it will take before they are selling the bricks.  Would you buy a "Gibson Brick"?

And of course the ones finished in white will cost more like any Gibson.

My wife happens to be the worlds biggest Nikki Sixx fan (her only fault?) so I'm obliged to be a Sixx AM fan.  ;D

I actually like a lot of their stuff, but their cover of "Drive" made me want to beat up Nikki on Benjamin Orr's behalf.

I actually kind of like it. I agree the body looks cramped and small at first glance but the longer I look the more I like it.  I was horribly disappointed with the 335 when I tried it out. Maybe this one will be more impressive.

And my aching back will love it I'm sure  :-\

Apparently his technique involved the Pinkie-Anchor long before he had the opti-grab.  It always looked horribly uncomfortable to me.
