They seriously copied a Musicman Bongo and thought no on would notice???!! If those basses didn't have such good necks/pickups/preamps I can't imagine their cosmetics being palatable.

Well what guitar did they find that sells for $54,000?

+1 on the Bongos

As Chico Marx would say, "The math, she's-a no work."

No doubt they mean the MSRP of the real guitars. Who knows, maybe there's a fake Martin that would list at $54K.

Actual manufactured cost of 200 Chinese fakes is probably less than $10K. Even less after they've been through the wood chipper.  ;D

... but it might make someone a cheery fire to keep warm with next winter...

Just putting a Bongo on the fire, dear... ;)

I think they should forward the wood chips on to the ultimate buyer(s) on this end. Or would that be too mean  ;D

Wood-chips for the critters...
A few rolls of wood-chip wallpaper...
Some sawdust for the barber-shop floor... maybe the butchers...

Bio-fuel...!

They're probably as good as the real deal.  But the only fakes should be Ricks, as they take it so badly.

Pretty much every manufacturer takes counterfeits badly. RIC's big issue is preventing other legitimate manufacturers from making anything resembling theirs.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Once no one fakes your guitars you sure do know you have a marketing issue.
