I hang my head in shame - several shames.

Ages ago I played an early Pedulla with Model Ones in it.  I liked the inlays.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

I can proudly say I put a Model 1 in a 4001! Yes, it does sound very nice on a maple-bodied bass.

Surprisingly, I have never owned an EB series bass. Being fairly tall with big hands, I perfer long scale basses.

I did it to my '95 rivoli, and never thought of it as criminal

I just realized that I owe an apology for posting a Rick pic in the Gibson forum. I'm sorry.

Now that is wrong.  Except the Mickey Mouse sticker evens it all out.

As far as the Ravioli, that looks like a G to me.  Model G is fun.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

you are correct, of course.   it still sounds better than the factory pup, though.   ;)

Guess that all depends on what you're looking for. The sad truth is that both sounds fell out of favor with the bass buying public years ago.

the factory pup epiphone used in the korean rivolis was pretty horrible.  I can't image they were ever in favor with the bass buying public!    ;D
the model g is a better sounding pup in comparison but is also nothing like a gibson mudbucker, but I'm certain you know that.  I have a mudbucker for it but until the neck issues with my rivoli are resolved, there is no need to install it.

It is actually very much like a Model One, but constructed a tad different.  Now the Model G I had did have a plastic cover multi conductor.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

Always loved his playing in the Birthday Party and early Nick Cave/Bad Seeds and his solo stuff. I should look into the other bands he has played with.

You're right that the Korean mudbucker type was never in favor. I was thinking of the Gibson mudbucker and the Model G.
