I think he was in real estate for quite a while.

I read an interview with him and his daughter (who is a singer IIRC). He was a video store manager and didn't make much money from what I remember.

Scott... Neal Smith runs a "Rock N Realtor" site... has done for some years

http://www.nealsmith.com/

... and George, Neal Smith and Dennis Dunaway have remained pretty close, with Neal being the genetic uncle of  Dennis' kids... they have recorded pretty steadily over the years - there is even one other than the Billion Dollar Babies project that the ACG all play on, and the remaining living members have performed with Alice at a special private show... you're looking forward to it...? I'm looking forward to it...

Still not finished the research...  ;)

DD presently (sort of) works with four projects and is even planning a Euro tour... (please)

In an interview in 2004 Dennis says this:

The original bass I had with the mirrors on it was the Gibson EB-0 that I'd spray painted metallic green, because I used to do model cars and that was my favorite color [laughs]. I even used model car paint. But we called it the "Frog" because it's green. The reason I was associated with frogs is because my wife Cindy used to think I smiled like a frog

The bass I play now with BDS is my 1970 Fender Jazz Bass. That's my favorite one, with a three-piece maple neck and black inlaid fret markers.
It's been my favorite since 1970, actually. We got to a point where the producers couldn't get the sound they needed for a particular song, so we had somebody go out and rent a bass. The rental cost ended up being more than the cost of the bass, so I got to keep it.

As I recall, it was because he came down with Crohn's Disease, and he needed health insurance.  I'd be curious how he's dealing with that these days.

Dennis Dunaway is bass player in the Jimmy Kunes Band. Tony Beard is their drummer.
I found Jimmy on MySpace. He seems like a pretty cool cat.

Jimmy is lead vocalist for Cactus too

I've got the last Cactus album on CD.  It was pretty good, and Bogert actually does a snappy little bass solo in one song.

I have a question, teacher!

Why was the singer's name Alice?

If my addled brain remembers correctly, it was for the shock value.  Shep Gordon became their original manager after he saw The Troubador EMPTY out in a matter of minutes when Alice Cooper played there early on.  They were not the Joni Mitchell copy that the audience was hoping for.  Gordon said that any band that could do that had some definite marketing potential.  As I recall, it was Gordon himself who called Canadian officials and warned them about the "flammable" panties that were the album sleeve for School's Out, and then milked the publicity.

According to classicbands.com:
Although it has been rumored for years that the band took its name after consulting a Ouija board, vocalist Vincent Furnier said in an interview with the VH1 TV series Behind The Music "I remember we were sitting around talking about band names. I was eating Doritos and just said the first name that came to mind. Which was Alice Cooper."

They supposedly liked the name because it sounded like Lizzy Borden.
