I never knew they were still together... so cute it's almost creepy... they cut RF's three questions from that video...

I studied some of his material and it is quite awe-inspiring just how much he has recorded over the years...

As a side note, I never realised that when I saw Zappa the second time it was effectively the start of Adrian Belew's career (Hammersmith "Sheik" gigs) ...

His collaborations are just as interesting.  His work with Daryl Hall on Sacred Songs came out as an excellent record that defied comparisons to the names on the jacket.

Before this thread, I had never heard of either one of them.  They're pretty darn good.

Nope...never followed them.  I have big blanks in my musical memory.  Half the musicians mentioned here are totally unfamiliar to me by name, although I often (not always) recognize the names of the bands they played in.

He had an influence in Peter Gabriel's initial solo work, even touring with him under the pseudonym of Dusty Roads...
