Saw that today. Beauty! Love that finish except for the black hardware.

I think that could be Tom!
 ;)

Nah, that guy's driving a new edge SN95. I drive an S197. (That probably means nothing to anybody on this board!)

Anyway, I do most of my stunt driving on the track.

That's funny! We had to wait for them to finish losing Saturday night before starting our set. Our drummer says he's going to burn all of his Cubs stuff. CHOKE!

The black plastic is just a shell kinda like an M&M candy, you can just break small pieces of it off.

I just hope it doesn't melt in my hands!

I'm just gonna make two small cuts with a hack saw and start peeling.

Good call on the middle hole. I was thinking of just gluing a screw head on there anyway.

Clanky you say? Did I mention I'm a Ric player?  ;D

You're my hero!  ;)

I was thinking of peeling the plastic off. Would save me a pile of cash, that's for sure. Now that I know someone else has done it, I think I will do the same. Any tips on drilling the holes besides "be careful"? And did you epoxy them in or anything? BTW - mine look like the current version.

I don't know if this has been discussed already, I know they've been going on the 'bay for a while now....

Anyway, I got a pair yesterday, and they are beautiful, flawless, and truly NOS looking. Not to mention a bargain at forty bucks each, complete with trim rings. These will be used for my (hopefully) upcoming Bachbird project.

And if anyone's interested, they will NOT fit over the current black plastic Bird pups. I thought I might get lucky, as I have a pair of those sitting around, but I guess I'll be sending them off to Mr. Duncan for the guts.

I'm sure RIC will exchange a righty lucite TRC for the lefty.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Last I heard, they won't even do color changes anymore. I'm glad I got my black with chrome letters in exchange for a white one when I did back in 2000.

Nice. I kinda like the Hipshot bridge. I have those same Ultralite tuners on my Fenderbird.

The Warwicks I've played had funky neck profiles. They didn't feel completely round, but rather almost three sided.

I remember a full page ad in some bass magazine with a bunch of Nu Metal guys in it.

Man, that Talk Talk was painful! I love their stuff, but.... Maybe he was having an off night? :-\

And Danko - he should have stayed away from the bong!  ;D Seriously though, classic, rock, bass stylists shouldn't do instructional videos. Every one I've seen is embarrassing and hard to watch. They just never capture what it is about these guys that makes them so great.

Love the doublecut Junior shape.

Ditto. That white one would be great with a pair of Gibson TB+ pups.

Starting to compile some parts. Just bought a pair of the NOS 70's pup covers and rings, and put a bid on a Gibson TRC. Ugh.. $40 for a piece of plastic. Oh well, in the end I'll have basically what I want without depleting the piggy bank.

Anybody have a tracing of a proper NR pickguard? Or does somebody like Pickguardian already make one?
