He loves it. It's a beautiful instrument to look at, with nice flame on the "shoulders". He practices every day - his teacher said 20 minutes a day and not more at this stage, 10 min pizz and 10 min arco. It's still not easy listening to him struggling with the bow, like all violin-family students I guess. His intonation gets better.

Very nice, and that's a lot for only two years. Only problem is that the camera needs to be repositioned to give him and the Rick some face time.

Yes but as it is you get some Gibson quality time... BTW I must admit that his Ric sounds way better than my Rics.

And the 1/2 size upright bass from the previous posts, well by now he has outgrown it and now plays a full size upright, with a 4/4 bow.

Now he needs better English to join this forum...
