We had our third annual Alembic Northern California Gathering yesterday, and I was fortunate enough to take delivery of my Stanley Clarke 5-string bass, after having the neck tweaked and Anniversary electronics installed by the Alembic wizards. Here's Sadie standing guard after inspecting it (including my '76 autumnglo 4001, Guild M-85 fretless and my wife's Allen Woody in the background):

Nice pic!

I have this small laptop screen so I thought: 'The cat on the T.80 box doesn't look that healthy.'  But is was more below:)

That's one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time! That's this weird cushion from Ikea:

We'll try and feed it better!

I need that cushion. I'll check the Dutch Ikea ASAP!

A bit off topic (but hey, that's almost a rule here) but did anyone know Ikea is Dutch? And so are U2 and The Rolling Stones. All three companies are based in Holland. In Rolling Stones booklets you can see things like 'Rolling Stones BV'. BV is like Inc, GmbH, Ltd. and so.

Dutch...? so what's with the Swedish Meatballs...?

Ah... I got it, they went public and "floated" the companies on the Stock Exchange...  ;D

That's right Kenny! So the Stones are Dutch too!!

Booker T. thinks he's a Gibson EB3:

 ;D

I have two cats. The all-black Booker T. doesn't like basses. His brother Curtis only sits on my lap if I also have a bass on it, especially the Thunderbird. That, combined with his low voice and grey beard makes him JAE's reincarnation.

Somebody said Kitties with basses?

My dog just discovered cats this last summer (met a nice cat) and is just thrilled about them, very courious, Not really as seeing them as prey either, just like "what is is creature"?

Nick and his Ripper. RIP, Nick, but I'll never sell your bass!

Thanks for reviving this thread Denis! I like the mix of past and present - nice tribute to Nick! You inspired me to dig up some pics!

Here's a relatively recent shot of my drummer Greg taking pictures of Luna with Sapphire joining in:

And an old pic of dear departed Sadie with my wife's Allen Woody in the background:

Sadie passed away a few months after the last pictures on this page.

Here's a brand new one - took all the strings off of the Duck and Luna got jealous!

Every now and then I couldn't find Nick, but finally discovered he liked sleeping on the Ripper cases. :)

Eww! Or does that help clean the strings?  ???

Luna does something similar where she chews on the air next to things like cardboard boxes, guitar straps/stands, etc., but she doesn't actually touch it.
