Yesterday was the live debut for my recently acquired Fender Performer bass, which I bought thanks to a recent thread here. Sounded good and, most important, it looked sharp.
It was also the debut of the little German bass cab I asked for some guidance on here in another thread. My bandmates were worried beforehand, but when I fired it up they were impressed. But, as you can see, I need a rubber pad under the amp head to keep it from walking off the cab.

Nice bass, and i admire the shirt, too!

it looked sharp.
Because of the pointy headstock no doubt .......... ;)
-
I think the rubber pad is always a good idea.
Back in the tube days even on Fenders with their "hold-downs".
having additional shock cushioning made sense.
-
I read that the Fender Rumble v3 heads and separate v3 cabs have magnets to solve that problem.
-
Yes to all, including the reference to the pointy head. And I do try to look sharp and annoy bandmates to do the same. We are entertainers and, no matter how hot it is, cargo shorts don't cut it.
Some years back when I had a fleet of early 60s amps I bough a bunch of 2" x 2" combo rubber/cork/rubber amp anti-vibration things over on a hi-fi website. Usually used them with my tube amps. But I'll have to haul 'em out if I keep using the Terror and the little 2x12" cab. Probably a sensible idea given PBG's jaundiced view of modern PCB amps.

Thank you! ;)

I agree 100%!
I may at some point decide that prancing around in Drag isn't a good idea for me - I'll still play music out, never in cargo shorts!

They wouldn't go with the boots anyway. :o

I had one of those Performer Basses around 10 years ago in Surf Green.
Neck reminded me a bit of my Kubicki ExFactor.

I wondered, after reading some of your threads here.
The last thing I need!
