I'm worried about something bad happening tomorrow. The open border doesn't help. E-bola is also scary. I wish Obama and NATO would stop poking the bear and let Crimea go back to the Russians. It's starting to feel like a third world war is getting close at hand.

Here's another Duck Dunn line. (sittin' on) the dock of the bay.
There's a funky thing Duck plays at the end of bar 43. Those are two 8th notes each preceded by grace notes. They should share a flag at their stems but it was hard to write because of the distance between the notes on the staff and the grace notes. I play it by sliding up to the A from the G on the E string with my index finger and then sliding from C# to D on the G string with my pinky.

I know we're supposed to avoid talking politics but it's hard to ignore how crazy this world is today. Without getting in to specifics, these are a couple more songs that ring true for me today as well.

I agree Nofi, it's time to put some pride back in those words, Made in the USA. The free trade agreements are making it harder to achieve. I'm looking forward to seeing what Scotland decides later this month. Hope they're smart enough not to let the EU drag them down. It was nice to see the Aussies elect a conservative government and repeal the Carbon tax. Maybe some of that spirit can make it stateside.

I don't know much about my German heritage. All I know is my Grandfather was from Chicago. His side of the family had already been in this country for at least a couple generations before he ran away from an unstable family and joined the Navy at 17 right at the start of the war. He had an Aunt named Rose Miller. She was a good friend of Armand Hammer from what I've heard and was quite wealthy when she passed.

The T87 was great. They stopped making them because of the mercury right? But God forbid if you don't use a lightbulb with plenty of mercury these days. At the same time the electric ballasts you have to use now are junk compared to the older ones. Honeywell makes a lot off the fiber for carpet I sell. Anso Nylon makes for a great carpet.

True that amptech. The chrome 2 pointers are flimsy as all get out but the nickel ones actually had some heft to them. Wish someone with access to a machine shop could crank out some replicas.

I can't really complain about the hipshot bridge for my 66' EB-3. It is made specifically for a two point bridge as you said Pilgrim and I believe it's a bit shorter lengthwise than the 3 point supertone. The posts are offset on my bass and the bridge is designed to work with either offset or straight posts. The Babicz looks much better on the Thunderbirds without hanging over the center block like a Hipshot would.

I just saw Mitch Ryder on the Happy Together tour that Flo and Eddie (Turtles and Frank Zappa singers)headline. He was super cool and told the story about how his song Sock it to me got banned on radio because of being too sexually suggestive forcing him to change the lyrics. He sang the original version at the show and I don't know what the fuss was about.
