I'm very worried about Uwe (money crisis and so).
« on: September 25, 2008, 12:20:34 AM »
Hi there,

Every time I put on the telly there's something about the financial problems in the US. Of course Uwe is working in this world and he doens't post that much lately, so I became a bit worried. I mailed him to ask if he's alright but it's far more worse than I thought:( :

He asked me to tell y'all he's doing fine and on holiday in NYC with Edith. He only has his Blackberry, and posting here isn't easy wich such a device. he also said that 'us ligitators are as vultures' so we don't have to worry about him and money.

But now comes the bad part. I'll qoute:

"I was at 48th street yesterday and saw a ltd ed Ibanez atk with birdseye maple top and a heavy ash body plus maple board neck in a pinkish/lilac fin ... I think I'm in love!!!"

WE HAVE TO STOP HIM! An Ibanez for Christ's sake...
A birdseye maple top doesn't sound like Gibson! And either is am ash body or maple neck:(

Chris, could I ask you a favor to have Uwe contact me either here or by email? It's kind of important and could help him avoid the Ibanez... Thanks!

You can find his mailadres at his personal page here. He reads his mail and he'll reply you. I use the same mail and if you mail him directly it goes even faster:)

But if you want I'll mail him!

Yes, and he probably has a spandex collection he hasn't told us about.

While he's in New York, I think he plans to buy an oufit to match his new Dean.

It's very common to have your girlfriend along with at first when you're shopping for errm........questionable attire, even worse justifyinig it because you own a bass and you need a wardrobe to *match* it.   :gay:

Uwe may have discovered that the "V" body of the Dean doesn't fully obscure any unsightly spandex-clad nether-regions when doing those Steve Harris poses on the floor monitors.  A nice conservative-bodied 35" scale Ibanez will surely resolve this quandary, and make for a more pleasing experience for concert goers!   ;)

More likely, he needs to find reinforced spandex to pad the inner thigh for that Michael Schenker stance that we all love.

Ah - great assumption!  In these challenging economic times, an old rolled up tube sock - strategically placed in the spandex pant leg - could offer such padding, without the need for expensive reinforcements.

Actually, I was thinking that the little inside horn of that bass could be painful without a little thigh padding.  You make a good point, though...
