Fender Basses / Jazz bass pickups location?

Group...

Is there anywhere online where I can find the proper location, or centerline, of Fender Jazz pickups from the 12th fret?
So basically I'm looking for the distance from the center of the 12th fret to the virtual centers of the neck and bridge pickups.

I'm looking for an early 60's EB-3 truss rod cover.
Does not have to be vintage, I'll gladly take a replica.
...anyone know where I can get one? (With two screws would be great!)

Already contacted Gibson but they were not much help.

I have an early 60's EB-3 nickel bridge that needs replating.
Yes, it's functional as it is right now, but was considering having it replated for cosmetic reasons.

In your opinion does anyone think this will heavily decrease its value?
It is going on a 1962 EB-3 bass that just had the headstock repaired…
I am trying to remain model year specific with the parts I am using but thought
since I was having this bass rebuilt it would be nice to have a re-nickeled bridge.

There is a place here in Metro Detroit that will do it for $60.00... does this seem like an average fee for something this size?

Has anyone, at any point, used or are using a Marshall Major tube head?
I understand they can be somewhat temperamental and like to eat tubes, but am curious if they sound that good.
Anyone know if someone produces a decent replica of this head?
I know Jack Bruce used them for a short time during the last year of CREAM.

Gibson Basses / QUESTION about the Nut Material on early 60's EB-3

What material did Gibson use for the nut on early 60's EB-3s?
Bone? Phenolic? ...?

Also, was the nut thicker than your standard nut?
...thicker than a Thunderbird nut? (it seems to look that way in pictures)

My 1962 EB-3 headstock repair is almost complete and I would love to hear what strings you are all using on yours.
I bought the bass with the broken headstock so I had not been playing it before.

I'm looking to use a light gauge Flatwound, with decent bend-ability. (very CREAM-esque)

By the way, "old puppy", can't thank you enough for recommending "The Lutherie Shop" in Iowa to me in a previous post!!!

Gibson Basses / Strings used on Jack Bruce's EB-3 bass

Anyone know the details for Jack Bruce's bass strings on his EB-3 bass?
I read that they were La Bella brand, light gauge...

Anyone know any other details?
...Model or style number? String gauges?
Flatwound or Roundwound? (So far I’ve been hearing Flats)

I have a 1962 EB-3 that I would like to use the closest set of strings like the one's Jack used.

Those who play EB basses, what is your opinion on strings for getting closest to that Cream sound?

I have an Epi Elitist TBird that I got a while back with a broken headstock... now fully repaired, and better than before.
I bought a Gibson Tbird pickguard for it but it is not the right size... the holes do not line up at all.

Does anyone either have an extra pickguard for one of these or possibly able to photocopy their Epi Elitist pickguard for me
so I can make a copy...
I would also be willing to trade a Gibson Thunderbird pickguard for a Epiphone Elitist Thunderbird pickguard.

Also looking for a truss rod cover...

Gibson Basses / Early 60's Gibson EB-3 Body Dimensions Needed!

I have a 1962 Gibson EB-3 that is having the headstock repaired... so I do not have it in my possession.

Does anyone know the total length dimension from bottom at the strap button to the top of the headstock as well as the widest body dimension?
There is an ATA case that has become available to me but I need to make sure it will fit properly.
