Title: Highly cool looking Kay
Post by: Pilgrim on April 02, 2016, 10:34:05 AM: I see these from time to time - to my eye, they are among the coolest-looking of all basses...a wonderful period piece. Love the pickguard, and the Kelvinator headstock piece really tops it off.

I agree! Coolness does not justify that price.

For 4K I'd want 5-6 of them plus a $2000 rebate.

That's as may be, but the cool factor far exceeds any Dano I've seen...and some of them are pretty nice.

A very nice movie/video prop. A prize for a completist collector for whom Teiscos are just too damn high end.

I'm just joking, I really like the pickguard shape and how it "sits" on that kinda 335-ish body. But I still think it could use a smaller headstock!
