Funny you should mention it.  I put it on my watch list a half hour ago.

The basic white/black combo always works.  It's all about accessorizing...

It's not quite the Overend Watts look ( I never knew that he gave Martin Turner his first Bird), but it will do in a pinch.  My first T-Bird was a '66 Thunderbird II.  Didn't quite get it then.  Wish I'd kept it now.  Then again, selling/trading and buying my basses over the years always led to new horizons.  In the end, I got a '63 Epiphone Embassy that was once part of Tom Petersson's collection.  The bass of God, I always called it.  Fur85 will attest to why I kept that bass for over 20 years.

p.s. - Mark, if you ever want to sell it, let me know.  I'd love to have it back.   ;)

I think he's got that wrong.
As far as I know all Greco Thunderbirds are full mahogany.

I think that the black/white combo looks killer on Thunderbirds.

I'll never understand that. Sure, somebody else may have paid his dues with it, but that's not transferable to you.

Oh well, at least it's better than a pre-reliced guitar, which just pretends that somebody else used it.

I'm with you on that Dave. The whole relic thing gives me the shits to be honest. Its like faking or pretending. Why not just get the real thing and play it.
