Uwe's got that covered as well.  ;)

Yeah....but his doesn't have the "Gibson Custom Shop" decal on it :)

Even Uwe will admit mine trumps his in a Gibson poker game....even though I HAVE tried to swap him for his for some other Gibby stamped "protoype" basses I have. Those '86 TBII's area a favorite of mine. Really would like another one someday.

Luv ya, Uwe my bass bro!

Hey, say hi to all my pals at Musikmesse. Bummed I am not there.

I was actually one of the 8 featured speakers one year...the ONLY one of the 8 without "Dr." in front of my name BTW. I jokenly told them that they may refer to me as "Dr" Frankenstein, if need be :)

A few pics of my humble sunburst '66 and '76 TBs. I think I put these pics up a year or more ago, but what the hey.
Uwe's Korina/ebony/gold TB IS definitely the winner!

New bridge or not, you've got to submit a pic of your Lefty NR!
The lefty is not mine nor are they birds that it is pictured with. They belong to a happy Badbird customer.

I did manage to get a shot of my '77 off to Kevin, I wish I could have submitted this one - but he's limiting the article to Gibsons.

  :)  Of course!
This isn't all the 'Birds, *if* it ever gets nice here I'll get them together in one spot for a photo shoot - Seattle's weather the past 18 months ain't been good tho.

The red one is my "poor man's" Fenderbird made from an Epi body and a Mighty Mite neck, the heel of the neck was shaved to fit the Epi pocket so I wouldn't have to refin. The pups are actually SD '51 P bass single coils potted into T bird covers, wired VVTT with a switch. Very F#@%&* sounding without looking like one! Works for me. I did the majority of the work myself, however Mike Lull helped quite a bit at the end, setting it up and shimming the neck to give it some relief.
I like the bass a lot currently it's strung BEAD but I'm thinking it'll get a better USGuitarworks or Allparts bound and blocked lefty J neck sometime in the future. The MM one is working fine but is a bit thicker in profile than I care for.

Had a little fun with the PG too  ;)

What's the first one with the "pea-soup pearloid" PG??  (May be the way it's catching the light...)

I confess that so many T-Birds are shown here that I've pretty much given up trying to keep them straight.

BTW, where does that Jackson Bird sit tonally among the group? I was sorely tempted by her.
