String Tension
« on: December 05, 2011, 12:07:05 PM »
The only thing I can find is this chart and it's for double bass.  Any info on long scale bass guitar string sets would be appreciated.  Thanks!

D'addario's string tension specifications (pdf)

The bass strings start on page 9, the technical info starting on page 3 is worth a read. That's where I was able to figure out (from their formulas) that the relationship of shorter to longer scale tension is actually their ratio squared, not just their ratio.
