Puh-leez! >:( I don't resent wealth, not at all, but after you've spent $160K on doorknobs and hinges alone, don't tell me how your dream house is just too big for you.

Say! With the dollar so weak, maybe our European contingent can pool their funds and buy this as a vacation getaway.  ;D

I live in a 2150 square foot apartment with Edith which consists of two baths, one kitchen, four small to tiny bedrooms and one huge living room/loft type space, so I don't resent space at all.

But that home in that article is interior design-wise like a baroque, overdone Dolly Parton nightmare. You would have to chuck at least half the stuff out to actually get those huge spaces to breathe again. The only thing I really like is the pond (or is it a swimming pool?) outside. Other than that it is (over) decorated like a luxury liner, I'd never feel comfortable there.
