Black hardware is so 80s, but in a bad, ugly, evil way!  ;D

Actually, this set is a rarity: The only black hardware bass with Gibson that had the Gibson-embossed Schaller wedge bridge was the Q-80. Victories and Explorers had chrome and the Q-90 already the regular Schaller roller bridge without wedges and sans the embossed "Gibson".

Of course, I'm preaching - as usual - to the blind here ...  ::)

Those are the same tuners I got a while back for my '06 Bird. I hope they'll fit........

It wasn't pulled from any bass, it is virgin!

Seriously, I think it depends on the bass. I think this here is a TBird fanboys' argument though (ducks really low and runs like hell).

The problem I have with black hardware is it tends to look crappy after a while.
