Is it my imagination or does Pete Wentz show up EVERYWHERE these days? I wouldn't miss him or his band if they just "beat it".

I have to come to their defense - I think its a nice homage and although there are stronger MJ songs out there, this defined the sound of songs for a while, just think of Phil Collins' Easy Lover and Corey Hart's Sunglasses at Night which both copped their riffs off Beat It.

+1.  The same argument could be made for the '60s, '70s, and some of the '90s (which REALLY sucked a LOT, imo).
