I don't think DG ever had his name or band name on his Hiwatts?

Funny story: I visited Cleveland a few years back in early April, and of course, what little tourism they might have during summer was completely dead, so I paid the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a visit. For the most part, I was severely unimpressed. My favorite part was seeing the sculpture from Pink Floyd's The Division Bell in person; it's much smaller than the album cover suggests, though still a good 6-7 ft tall. Seeing the puppets from the Alice in Chains I Stay Away video was really cool too.

So anyway,  my wife and I are walking around the descending ramps through the "History of Rock" exhibit with supposed actual memorabilia. After seeing the white Squier Precision, complete with the "CE" sticker on the neckplate, with a poorly applied replacement Fender decal and mexican replacement-anodized gold pickguard being passed off as "Elvis's old bass," I decided to pass the time by taking a hypercritical look at ALL the music equipment. The ONLY item that was actually legit was a "Who" Hiwatt halfstack.

When I leaned over the railing slightly to see if its original Mullards were installed, one of the workers there, a fat late teenaged girl who was clearly angry about having to walk through the exhibit to follow my wife and I, who were literally the ONLY people there, hissed at me not to touch anything. I turned and asked what part of "touching" involved me leaning over the rail and using both hands on it to support myself so I could get a closer look at the amp from across the opposing ramp's side to see its back. She rolled her eyes and told me that if I couldn't follow the rules, she would have me thrown out. I politely informed her we were more than few floors down from her coworkers and if she couldn't explain how I was violating any rules, I would happily accompany her to see here supervisor so that he or she could.

I don't regret going, but boy, what an eye-opener.

I was there a few years ago and they had one of Entwistle's Buzzards, I leaned over the rail and touched it :) they chewed me out pretty good but didn't throw me out.

Thing is, I wasn't trying to touch it, and it was obvious I wasn't trying to touch it. For a supposed tourist attraction, they REALLY act like they don't want people in there.
