I've had both of those videos saved for a while now. I love the guy. I wonder if he was a metal head in a previous life (the other bass looks to have once been an Ibanez Destroyer II).

He needs to team up with Junior Brown and his guit-steel.

Junior Brown is one outrageous player...he's something else.

i saw jr. a few years back. it was quite a show. that's his wife on acoustic guitar. the upright bassist had a massive rig in contrast to the drummer with one snare. but all you need is a beat. jr. was just astounding. his slow stuff is great and on an uptempo instrumental he threw everything in the mix including bits of hendrix, surf music and blues licks. his liquor sponsor had so many huge banners hung about it was surreal. a good time was had by all.

I think Junior has more than a bit of Danny Gatton in him.

Al, in case you're not familiar with him, he also does some surf numbers. I've seen a few on YouTube.

...and that Junior Brown clip is tremendous!  Great on a number of levels.  Hadn't heard him before- I'll have to check out some of his other stuff.
