Looks cool. Is that a 34" scale?

It is indeed. Has a little neck dive but the whole thing is light enough that it's not really a big deal. It sounds great through that old Bassman too.

I think your new Epi 'Bird will cause you to re-think the term "neck dive" at least until you can relocate the the strap pin to the neck heel.  ;)

Yeah, boy! I posted a pick of the T-bird on the Gibson thread and added that neck dive comment. Man, it's not fooling around!

Next time you're at a better music store just get an extra strap pin, if you mount it at the base of the heal on the body or by drilling thru the neck plate you'll alleviate most of it. A leather strap helps too.
On any of mine that have them in the original position I usually leave them there..............a useless appendage.

A vestigial strap pin, as it were.
I know I should, but right now I can't stand the idea of drilling a hole in it!

Cool bass.

Absolutely!  Why I have the itch for a Dano, I dunno....but I do.  I just need to finish my other basses before doing anything else.  But those new ones are very cool!

I've thought very seriously about getting one of those.  I'd like to have the Longhorn, too, but it isn't available.

The Longhorn IS available!

I think the only way to get the 2009 model is to pre-order it, although I suppose that could have changed since the last time I checked.

You're right, they were preorder only for quite a while but I thought they were finally out. I could easily be mistaken though.
