Then there's why the original design is called a Reverse in the first place.

... but the reverse has never been a mirror of a non-reverse which was always a Thunderbird and never really a non-reverse as it's an original interpretation of something that might not have been that original hence being sort of reversed which became known as a reverse so this isn't a true reverse and this is more a mirror of a reverse than a reverse... I think...

(seriously though - a couple of close-ups of the head/neck show what might be a seperation of the fretboard...?)
