Title: Jack Bruce interview from 2002
Post by: Dave W on March 30, 2021, 11:06:53 PM
I've read this before and probably posted it before, but since it was referenced on a FB page today, I reread it and thought it was worth posting.

Jack Bruce: Shadows and (Erstwhile) Short-Scale Basses (https://www.vintageguitar.com/2892/jack-bruce/)

Interesting stuff. Some bootlegs of him playing with Blues Saraceno on YT but would be great to hear what they did in the studio if it ever sees the light of day. Where did the old EB-3 end up after all?

Great article. I’m sure I read it in 2002 in the VG, now it’s buried in one of my piles of VG’s. I have many of the albums listed in the article, some on CD. Many great musicians listed in the article have passed since 2002.

No idea. The article says that Bruce Gary (Knack drummer) owns it, but IIRC it was put up on eBay by Norman's Rare Guitars shortly after this article appeared. Even if it didn't sell at the time, Bruce Gary died in 2006.

This has been one of my favorite Jack Bruce interviews through the years and I keep losing track of it.  I'm glad to know where I can find it now.
