those are the correct inards but the cover prolly would require the bigger one which i haven't got. i'mma thinking a 64 cover is the bigger one. someone correct me if i am wrong please!

i've got a pup that is a 60's but the cover i have is the small one (late 60's), it checks out at 29.9 and would need a ground wire resoldered.

it would mean i would have to put the Dark Star in my LP Special instead of using the Mudbucker then i would have to trim it all in black chrome to match the Dark Star instead of shiny chrome to match the Gibby pup. i have all that black stuff but i'mma thinkin!

three words about the head repair USE THIS PLACE:

http://www.thelutherieshop.com/lespauljr/index.htm

they could prolly plug the hole and veneer it to where you couldn't tell.

send me a PM about the Gibby pup if you are interested. it would be less expensive than anything off Ebay.

i would still have a complete 70's pup and mount with trim ring i could use in my SG dream bass beings i just gave my modded EPI EBO to my step daughter.

those prices are a bit on the gouging side IMHO, but they are not making any more new ones. Novak makes them new but his prices are in the same ball park. i wouldn't hesitate to buy one from him if i needed a Mudbucker even though they are a bit expensive.

I can be true to you sweety until I find a nice medium scale with great breasts. ... CW

Congrats, great to hear about good people.  The neck crack could be a lot worse, it hasn't been badly repaired so that's a big plus.  The sinkhole can be plugged by somebody competent and be almost invisible, sort out the bridge, refin the top and done.

I vote for a mudbucker.  The correct '64 cover is nickel with more rounded edges, good luck finding one.  That Ebay pup looks to be around a '67 earliest.  Price seems OK, I recently paid $170 for a '67 bridge pup.

I would like the EB-0 to sound like one, and I have a line on a mudbucker that's not on Ebay.  It may take a while to get, but other things come first. I need to sort out the neck and have a look at the cavity under that Model One and see if it needs to be cleaned up or deepened...so I'm not in a big rush.  I'm also helping  #1 daughter move this weekend, so I won't get to do much with the bass this week.
