Triumph bass in the house !
« on: November 16, 2009, 02:01:08 PM »
Stopped by the local GC today and would you believe of all things there is a Triumph hanging on the wall  :o I am sure you can guess that came right off the wall and into my hot little hands. No headstock break, light player wear no buckle rash. The only thing "wrong" with it was that a section of the control plate had been replace by the 1/4" input jack. Also came with the ohsc.  Pictures soon !

"What's wrong with this picture...?"

(Maybe Scott won the lottery and is fobbing us off with this work thing...  ;))

Looking forward to seeing her...

Hmm... don't remember seeing a full "family album" shot, with maybe an excuse for another shot of your rig...?

I should not have bought it but the price was more than I could resist.

You should take something for that GAS... it's bad for your wealth...

I bought it to flip once things get a little better I bet I can get almost 2x what I paid for it. But if things get better I just might keep it  ;D

Congrats Scott. Welcome to the Hobbit club.
I'm pretty sure you will like it.
Although the difference in feel between the aircraft carrier bass (aka Non Reverse Thunberbird) and the Hobbit couldn't be bigger. ;)

There's an undamaged controlplate for sale on Evil Bay right now...

Congrats!!   :toast:  As much as I like my EB's, my Triumph has been my favorite since I bought it. The only problem, it started years of GAS before it subsided..  :o

That is so awesome - congrats! Every now and then GC gets something that I guess they're not aware they have and sell for an actually reasonable price. I got my Starfire I that way at the Sacramento GC. I've probably used up my GC karma now, but it was worth it...
