Sorry, YouTube is locking up for me so I can only hear it in segments of a few seconds. From what I can hear, sounds real growly in the low mids.

Wow Scott, what a big growly sound, nice playing also  ;)

Maybe I've missed it, but what is the origin of that pickup?

KIller sound.

Didn't you mention that the model G would fit in a Greatdealz chrome cover? Got me thinking....

The pickup is a Dimarzio Model G and yes it will fit under a '76 Tbird cover from greatdealz. This one is not covered. Here is a picture of it, note the butt ugly creme color, I can live with it cause they sound so good. There is a model G installed in the neck position of my 2001 Gibson Tbird (The Butcher Bird) no potting or messy installation work the Model G is screwed in to the cavity floor and the the cover right over it. The height is not adjustable but things lined up real good no need for adjustment though I could put a little foam underneath to give it some.

Nice growly sound! Just the way I like it. In fact it does'nt stray far from Mel Schachers sound on the We're an American Band album. Good performance in the vid too.

Nice pull-off/hammer-ons on that Grand Funk tune, Herr Dasson! Did Schacher play those too? I never noticed.
